JD Aesthetics · About
Jessica Donofrio, PA-C
Owner, and the only person who will ever inject you here.
Background
Nearly a decade in medicine came first. Jessica graduated valedictorian of her PA class at Touro and spent years in patient care before she ever picked up a cannula.
Aesthetics came later, and it came through anatomy, which is a different entry point than most. It is why she thinks in structure rather than in areas: why a tired-looking face is often a mid-face problem, why temples hollow before anyone notices, why a lip that keeps looking wrong is sometimes a filler problem to be dissolved rather than a volume problem to be added to.
That shows up as restraint. She would rather build lips over three visits than overfill in one, and she will tell you when a treatment you asked for is not the thing that will help.
She is also a mother of three, which she credits for keeping her sense of balance and perspective — in the practice as much as anywhere else.
Four habits, in order.
-
She asks what bothers you, not what you want injected
Most people arrive naming a product. The useful conversation is about what you notice in photographs and in the mirror at the end of the day.
-
Less, in the first sitting
Half a syringe now and half in three weeks costs the same as a full syringe today, and it is far easier to add than to dissolve.
-
Two weeks later, you come back
Tox settles unevenly on a lot of faces. The follow-up is free and standard, and it is where a good result becomes a very good one.
-
She'll say no
Under-eye filler on the wrong candidate, or more lip on a lip that has had enough. Declining the booking is part of the job.
